Today, an English Mastiff puppy arrived at our house and has joined the family. His name is now Hoover, though he has been called Slamer by his breeders. Hoover is just over 15 weeks old and is an awesome dog. He is a little scared right now as he is missing his two brothers (B.A. and Red) with whom he has been with. BA and Red came over here today and were awesome dogs, as well. Hoover will no doubt adjust and will learn to love his little sister Sophie.
Spencer is with his dad this weekend so he has yet to meet Hoover but has called already to find out how he’s doing. Spencer has been begging to let Hoover sleep with him on Sunday night. We’ll have to see about that I suppose.
The Murphy family all came over to meet Hoover and Hoover definitely loved all the attention that Gabe, Stephanie, Michael, Lauren, Brock and Jacob gave him. Hoover and Jacob were continually exchanging puppy kisses.
Right now as I type this Hoover is napping right behind me in his new (dog) bed. He will undoubtedly bring lots of joy around here.
He’s about 50 pounds right now but will grow to be 36″ heigh and weigh over 200 pounds. Quite a big dog he will be… and yes, he thinks he’s a lap dog.
